Data in the app

No account or login is required. During normal use, site names, locations, notes, dimensions, materials, stock and prices are entered and calculated on your device. Saved projects are held in the app’s storage on this device.

Selected drawing PDFs are also displayed and read on your device. PDFs saved in detailed input use the device’s drawing storage. Selecting a PDF does not upload it to the app operator.

This version has no advertising or feature that sends usage analytics to the app operator.

Saving, sharing and external services

Saving or sharing project data, CSV or PDF passes the selected file to the destination you choose. Output can contain site names, locations, notes, quantities, stock and prices. Check the content and recipient before sharing.

AirDrop, cloud storage and other sharing destinations use their own settings and data policies. Depending on your device and OS settings, app data may also be included in device backups.

Opening an external link, such as a manufacturer’s reference, communicates with that website. Information handling on the destination site follows its policies.

Storage, backups and deletion

Saving in the app does not automatically sync data to another device. A project JSON file contains the current project. It is not a backup of the entire project list and does not include the drawing PDF files. Save each project you need and keep the original PDFs separately.

Zones, saved-project list entries, the current project, stored drawings and exported files are separate storage items. Deleting one does not remove every copy elsewhere. Review and delete unwanted data in each storage location.

JSON, CSV and PDF exports also create temporary copies in the app cache, which may remain after sharing is cancelled. Copies older than 24 hours are cleaned up when the same export type is next used. Recovery copies may also be retained. This cleanup does not delete files you saved in Files or a sharing destination.

We use the sender address, message and any optional attachments you email to respond to your inquiry and investigate problems. Please omit unnecessary site or confidential information. You review and send the message through your mail app. The app does not automatically attach or send project data or drawings.

Email delivery uses your email service and the support mailbox’s iCloud Mail service. Those services’ policies apply to their handling of email. We retain support inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and investigate problems, and delete information when it is no longer needed. Contact this mailbox to request deletion. Information that must be retained by law is kept to the extent required.

Free guide and support website

This site has no login, contact form, advertising or custom analytics. Guide search runs within your browser and does not send search terms or app project data.

The public site is hosted on Netlify. The hosting provider may process IP addresses and access information to deliver and maintain the site. This is separate from app project data and guide searches.

Updates to this policy

This explanation applies to Ashibaya 1.1.0 and is effective from September 8, 2026. If data handling changes, we will update this public page and the in-app explanation and show the updated date.
